

Dr. John H. Matthews, P.E., is the President of John Matthews and Associates, Inc. He is a registered professional electrical engineer in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, and other states. John also holds an NCEES Certificate. He is a member of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Advisory Committees at Tennessee Technological University (TTU) and The Military College of South Carolina (The Citadel). John was named Georgia Electrical Industry Man of the Year in 1996. He received TTU's Engineer of Distinction Award in 1998. He is a past chairman of the IEEE IAS Chapter in Atlanta.
Dr. Matthews authored a textbook on the design and analysis of building electrical systems. He has also taught at Georgia Tech and was named Outstanding ECE Teacher of the Year and Region 3 Outstanding IEEE Student Branch Counselor.
Dr. Tammy Gammon, P.E., is a Senior Electrical Engineer for John Matthews and Associates, Inc. She is a registered professional electrical engineer in the State of North Carolina. Tammy was named to the 2025 IEEE Fellows Class for "contributions to the reduction of electrical injuries and deaths." She received the 2024 IEEE IAS PCIC Electrical Safety Excellence Award. Tammy has published numerous papers related to arcing faults, arc modeling, the arcing phenomenon, and arc flash hazards, as well as electrical injuries. From 2006 through 2014, she was the Research Manager for the IEEE/NFPA Arc Flash Research Project.
Mary B. Matthews is the Business Manager and Secretary/Treasurer of John Matthews and Associates, Inc. She received bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration from Georgia State University and is a member of the business honorary society Beta Gamma Sigma.
