JMA Overview 

John Matthews & Associates, Inc. was established in 1970.  The company’s original scope of activities included the design of power, lighting and signal systems for a wide range of industrial and commercial building types.  These included industrial plants, hospitals, shopping centers, high rise office buildings, multi-family high rise buildings, and nursing homes.  From 1970 thru 1991 the company acted as engineer of record for well over 3000 such projects in over 30 states.  The company also provided consulting services in the area of power quality.

 
In 1991 the company extended its activities to include forensic engineering and legal services for electrical and utility system related accidents, explosions, and fires.  In 1993 the company began offering seminars related to electrical safety, electrical accidents, and system design.  In 2015, representative services include:
